Charli Xcx has criticised the Brit Awards for their all-male Artist Of The Year shortlist at the 2023 event.
At the Red Carpet for the BRIT Awards Charli was asked by the BBC why she wasn’t an Artist Of The Year, despite being nominated in the Best Pop/R&B category.
After adopting gender-neutral categories last year, the artist of the year award included only male nominees, failing to acknowledge any women artists.
As the evening continued at a series of afterparties around London, Charli took the opportunity to show exactly how she felt about being left off the list. She wore a super sheer Ludovic de Saint Sernin gown with Swarovski jewellery on the red carpet
Charli then changed into a black patent miniskirt, heeled ankle boots, and a cropped white tshirt with “Real Winner” written across the chest. She then draped a yellow fluffy coat over the top to attend the Warner Records afterparty at the NoMad hotel.
To be honest Charli should have been up for artist of the year I don’t care she literally slayed last year well she slays 24/7 but you get what I mean like come on Crash is literally an iconic album and one of the best albums if not the best album of last year ( in my opinion ) she was snubbed but she will always be my favourite artist so love you Charli you are a winner in my eyes xx
